Oconomowoc, Wis. – After a nine-game road trip, the DockHounds started off a nine-game homestand this evening with a 7-5 win over the Cleburne Railroaders. A homestand that includes 6 games against Cleburne followed by a three-game series against the Chicago Dogs began with an entertaining Lake Country victory tonight.

Coming into tonight’s game, the DockHounds as a team were 1-5 in games started by Conor Fisk. Now that record is 2-5. The veteran starter went 6 innings tonight, allowing 4 runs (all 4 earned), on 7 hits, walking 1 and striking out 3. Keisy Portorreal came in out of the bullpen and worked the final 3 innings, giving up just 2 hits and 1 run, walking 1 and striking out 3 to finish the ballgame.

Offensively for Lake Country, Blake Tiberi reached base in 4 of his 5 trips to the plate from the leadoff spot, recording three singles and a walk. Nick Banks picked up 3 hits and had 2 RBIs as well. Dustin Woodcock went 2-5 and drove in 2 runs of his own. In total, all 9 DockHounds hitters reached base at least once in tonight’s game.

With the win tonight, the DockHounds improve to 15-19 on the season. With the loss, Cleburne falls to 18-18. Next up for Lake Country is the second game in this six-game series from Oconomowoc. Tomorrow night, LHP Tyler Pike is scheduled to start for the Hounds. RHP Kasey Kalich is slated to start on the mound for the Railroaders.
